Why I’m with DATTALION

The founder of our law firm – Dr Vasil Kisil – often quoted the ancient Roman maxim: law is the art of goodness and fairness. Before the war, our team helped to invest billions in the Ukrainian economy, develop infrastructure, farm agricultural production etc. A bit pathetically, but I like to treat it as legal assistance to goodness. Paola Sisco

Advocacy Team Member

Paola Sisco was inspired to volunteer with Dattalion when she heard accounts of the mothers who left Ukraine to deliver their children to safety only to return to the frontlines in order to document the atrocities of Russia’s war against their homeland.

After graduating from Belmont University’s Massey School of Business, Paola spent a decade working in the healthcare administration industry until she and her family relocated to the Bay Area in California where she dedicated herself to raising her three children.

Now living in Seattle, Washington, Paola enjoys spending time improving her pottery skills, formalizing her wine education and developing recipes for an upcoming pop up food project.

Why I’m with DATTALION

For a long time, ‘heroism’ to me felt like a term that had been watered down by overuse. However, when I learned of the sacrifices made by Dattalion’s frontline moms, I found a display of heroism that deeply resonated with me. These women, these heroes, moved me and their continued bravery and dedication to family and country inspire me every day.
