As we reach the end of our collaboration with the Renaissance Foundation, we’re proud to announce that the DATTALION 2.0 project has met its objectives, marking a significant milestone in our mission. The support provided by the foundation has been instrumental in achieving noteworthy accomplishments.
One major success has been the optimization of internal team dynamics. Despite the wartime challenges and shortage of resources, the team has streamlined processes for tracking, uploading, and moderating materials, fostering a more efficient workflow.
The project has also witnessed a remarkable increase in the volume of content uploaded to the photo and video database.
Methodology-wise, DATTALION 2.0 has honed its strategies for collecting and verifying witness information. The witness database has grown in both quantity and quality, marking a significant step forward in the project’s mission to document russia’s war crimes.
To facilitate a more user-friendly experience (including more efficient and comprehensive searching), new markers have been introduced for materials in the database.
As the final month of cooperation draws to a close, the DATTALION 2.0 project stands as a testament to the power of collaboration. The achievements gained during this period will play an important role in achieving the project’s long-term goals of creating a national multimedia war archive so that no one can rewrite the events of the war, and future generations around the world can see the war through the eyes of Ukrainians and to hold russia and its supporters accountable for the crimes committed in Ukraine and the damage done to Ukrainians and Ukrainian business.
DATTALION constantly updates a database of war witnesses and Ukraine war footage. If you want to share your story, please email us at info@dattalion.com
