Highlights for June 3, 2022

1. On the 100th day of the war, Yehor, 8, who described the blockade of Mariupol in his diary, managed to leave for Zaporizhzhia. In his diary, the boy wrote, “I lost two dogs, my grandmother Galya, and my favorite city of Mariupol.”

2. In Kharkiv, a russian rocket destroyed a school that housed the only museum of russian poet Sergei Yesenin in Ukraine.

3. In 100 days of full-scale war, the occupiers destroyed 270 medical institutions, almost 70 schools, and 50 kindergartens in the Luhansk region.

Ukraine is experiencing catastrophic economic damages due to russia’s military aggression, which has already started to impact the global economy. Food, energy, and labor markets are in danger.
